Columbia River Sturgeon

Mornings start out with shad fishing off a gravel bar upriver from the docks. 

As you can see from the number of boats, this is common practice.

The river was so full of shad that the four of us were able to fill a good size ice chest with the 2 pound critters in about 15 minutes.
